Carlito who is originated in the Caribbean, plays a cocky type gimmick to try and prove he is the best in the business. He constantly referred to the the fact that he is self-proclaimed cool. He quickly established himself in the WWE by defeating John Cena for the United States Championship in his first match. When he was drafted to Raw, on his first night on Monday nights he defeated the longest running champion in over 10 years, Shelton Benjamin, for the Intercontinental title.
