Dean Malenko worked in the World Wrestling Federation as it was called back then from 2000-2001. He then very quickly found allies in the Radicalz, which he then joined. The Radicalz also consisted of Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero. Later that year he defeated Essa Rios to win his first Lightheavyweight title. He then went on to win it twice and held it for an incredible nearly 12 months before retiring in late 2001.
