Before entering the WWF, Eddie spent a considerable amount of time in World Championship Wrestling, or for short, WCW. He had alot of precious moments in WCW, even capturing the Cruiserweight and United States Championships, and forming some of the most memorable stables in WCW, Latino World Order (a Latino version of the nWo), The Filthy Animals and of course- The Radicalz. After spending a fair amount of time running the WCW circuit, Eddie, Dean, Perry and Benoit decided to head to the WWF, after a management change and the firing of WCW booker, Vince Russo. Eddie Guerrero first joined the WWE (or WWF as it was called) in the year 2000. He kept the stable, The Radicalz alongside Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko. After awhile however, The Radicalz disbanded leaving all of the members to find there own individual success in the WWF. Eddie, was caught up in a romance angle with fellow WWF "diva"- Chyna. They were a odd couple to say the least, but it is this angle that gave birth to the famous "Latino Heat" line. During this first stint in the WWF he was able to capture the Intercontinental Championship and the European championship twice, showing that he was to become a great prospect in the future of the WWF.
Guerrero was later released after being arrested for drunk driving. He then returned to the now called WWE in 2002. With the fresh new Guerrero on WWE television once again, things started to look up for his career. He had a great tag team championship run, with his real life nephew, Chavo. The two were referred to as "Los Guerrero's" and their crazy antics were a hit among the fans and wrestlers alike. The two went on to capture the tag team gold twice, and become widely known as a great tag team. Around 2004, after "Los Guerrero's" and a short tag run with Tajiri, Eddie finally got something that he deserved, a main event push! With Benoit choosing to defend the title against Triple H, the Raw World Champion, that left the SmackDown! World Championship up for grabs. On January 29th, Eddie won a 15 man battle royal and gained the shot to face Angle for the SmackDown! World Championship. The feud Eddie had with Kurt Angle will go down in the books as one of WWE's most notable and comedic feuds, and also one of the most lengthy. Eventually, Eddie went on to win the WWE Championship when he defeated Brock Lesnar at their infamous match at No Way Out 2004. Eddie would go on to defend his title for a fair amount of time, even winning at WrestleMania by uniting his boot to slip out of the AnKle Lock.
On November 13th 2005, Eddie was found unconscious in his hotel room by his nephew Chavo Guerrero. Chavo attempted CPR, but Eddie was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived on the scene.
