Edge, or Adam Copeland is a well-known WWE wrestler, one of the most hated to date. His nicknames include the "Rated R Superstar" and "The Ultimate Opportunist". Edge has lived up to his name on many occasions, he even had a live sex celebration with Lita on RAW.

He has had notable feuds with the likes of the Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz, The Undertaker, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Batista and many more. Edge is the most successful tag team competitor of all time with his partner Christian. They both ushered in the now famous TLC match and brought a new meaning to the term 'Holy Shit!!", used in the company. He has lately been a huge contributor to SmackDown!, having done memorable angles and feuds featuring La Familia, Undertaker and who knows where he will go from there.

Edge is no stranger to gold in WWE. He is a 12, yes, 12-time World Tag Team Champion, a 5-time Intercontinental champion, he won the King of the Ring, and last but not least, a whopping 9-time World Heavyweight Champion, winning all those World titles in the last three years.

The Rated R Superstar appears in this game with the Dirty and Hardcore fighting styles. The cunning side of him thrives on these styles, doing anything that he can to win, whether it's in the rules or not. Edge will be able to use the referee as a shield among other things, able to use specific weapon grapples and to strip the guard off the turnbuckle. With Dirty being his primary style, one can activate the super dirty finishing maneuver.

WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2009

Edge returns to the game, with slightly weaker stats, despite skyrocketing through the Hardcore stat. His fighting abilities are very Hardcore-based, pretty much. He's a pioneer in the TLC match, therefore has the Table and Ladder match abilities. He's also one of the few in the game to contain Resiliency, making him able to kick out in the worst of situations.
