Evolution was a stable that was lead by Triple H with Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton. They first officially appeared as a stable in WWE SmackDown!: Here Comes The Pain and remained one until the next installation, WWE SmackDown! vs RAW. The stable represented Triple H being the present, Ric Flair the past, and Batista and Randy Orton the future. Looking back at that time and now today, it's safe to say that Triple H accomplished his goal - whether he regrets it or not.

Triple H started the game as the default World Heavyweight Champion. All four Evolution members were part of the RAW brand and were all set to heels.

Though Evolution did not exist with Batista and Randy Orton both turning face and having singles careers, Triple H and Ric Flair still shared an alliance with each other. With Ric Flair not recording voiceovers for this game, Triple H serves as his mouthpiece for Flair's segments.
