Hulkamania has been running wild through wrestling for over twenty years now and there’s still no sign of it dying. Hulk Hogan is arguably the biggest name in wrestling history; he’s a 12 time World Champion (6 in WWE, 6 in WCW) and one of only 3 men to win two consecutive Royal Rumbles. He was also apart of one of the most controversial factions in wrestling known as the NWO along with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Over the years Hogan has returned to the WWE on several occasions on a part-time basis to face the likes of Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon.

WWE SmackDown!: Shut Your Mouth

Hulk Hogan grins as he debuts in the SmackDown! series, brother!

Hulkamania makes it's debut onto the SmackDown series. Hogan is one of the strongest competitors in the game and uses his Atomic Leg Drop to finish off opponents - usually resulting in the three count. Hogan has to be unlocked, along with X-Pac and Kevin Nash, through the nWo storyline within the game. Hogan also appeared on the box-art with superstar The Rock.

Hulk Hogan makes his return to the series. Hogan doesn't return alone, however, he is re-introduced to the series by having three playable counterparts within the game, all listed as Legends. The yellow & red and black & white Hulk Hogan each have a part on the roster with the 1980's Hulk Hogan being the third.

Hulk Hogan makes his return to the Legends roster, but this time he is back to being only one. Hogan is one of the three legends available for use in Season Mode, along with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mankind.

Hogan appeared in his 80's attire for SmackDown! vs RAW 2007

Hogan wasn’t really famous for a unique or technical move-set so there’s very little to talk about. There are a few familiar moves in his Old School grapple (hold R1 and flick the right analogue stick left) such as the Fury Punch, the Scoopslam and the Power Up (known to most fans as “Hulkin Up”).

His primary finisher; The Atomic Leg Drop is a rather effective move which will gain you a lot of momentum. To execute it press L1 when your opponent is on the ground.

With the kind of attributes that Hogan has, there are bound to be very few disadvantages to playing as him. His slightly low speed attribute might not get you out of a Steel Cage very fast but his very high strength should enough to keep your opponent out cold while you slowly scale the steel.
