Ever since his WWE debut in 2006, Montel Vontavious Porter, MVP has blazed a trail throughout the Smackdown! brand of the WWE. The 6'3, 252lbs former convict has overcame initial criticism with impressive feuds against the likes of Chris Benoit and Matt Hardy, to solidify himself a place in the Upper Midcard of Smackdown!.

MVP is a former United States Champion, holding the belt for an astounding 11 months. He is also a former WWE Tag Team Champion and host the the V.I.P lounge. He is either loved or hated but his potential is never questioned. With out a doubt MVP is one of the future stars of the WWE despite his age of 34.

Montel's entrance is as unique as his bodysuit attire. MVP often enters the ring through an inflatable tunnel, bursting at through the smoke in time with his music "I'm Coming" by Sikk The Shocker. His alternatives was also shown through his adoption of a "Championship Ring" to accompany his United States Championship belt.

MVP also had a tag team title reign with his rival Matt Hardy. However the team was soon cut shot when MVP turned on Hardy, ending their partnership and continuing their feud by putting Matt out of action for months. Also, Montell is one of the few men to participate in an Inferno Match. MVP faced his long time rival Kane at Armageddon 2006 in an Inferno match in which he was defeated. He has also participated in a Career Threatening Match against Ric Flair at the Royal Rumble 2008, he was also unsuccessful in the match. On top of this he has also competed in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania 24, he was poised to win the match but was hindered by a returning Matt Hardy who cost MVP the match by performing a Twist Of Fate off a ladder to the Ballin' Superstar

MVP cites his main influence for the wrestling business as tarnished legend Chris Benoit, MVP had previously used a Crossface named TTB (Tribute to Benoit) as a finishing move.
