Burchill made his wrestling debut in 2002 and made a huge impact across europe with his dominance in the ring. In 2004 he was given a developmental deal and debuted on to the WWE screen in 2005 to team with William Regal. In 2006 he took an infamous pirate gimmick which was a hit with the crowd. It was this gimmick that made it into WWE SmackDown! vs RAW 2007 but not long after establishing this gimmick he underwent knee surgery.
He returned to the screens in 2007, as a heel under the Raw brand.
