This guide will give you a full run down of the controls for each SmackDown game to appear on the Playstation, PS2 and PS3. From the days when you had 4 simple grappling options, through to unique additions such as ultimate grapples and fighting styles, this guide will help you pull off all the moves.

WWF SmackDown!

WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role

The controls are similar to the previous game with a few changes for new match types such as Ladder, Tables and Hell in a Cell.

Advanced Controls:

Grapple Attacks - Directional Button and Cirle

Climb Turnbuckle - Directional Button and Triangle

Climb Ladder - Directional Button and Triangle

Grab belt from Ladder - Circle

Climb out of Ring - Directional Button and R1

Slide into Ring - Triangle

Tag Partner - R1 (when near you partner)

Pin opponent - Down and Cirlce

WWF SmackDown!: Just Bring It

With the smackdown games making the step up from PS1 to Playstation 2; Just Bring It introduced many new control features such as the evasive roll, removing the turnbuckle padding and stealing your opponents finisher.

Advanced Controls

Dive through opponents legs: - Triangle Button + Square Button

Dive over/through ropes - Square button then the X button as you're running towards the ropes.

Look for a Weapon - (Outside of ring, center.) - R1 Button

Remove Turnbuckle Cover - At turnbuckle, face and press R1

Climb Up Turnbuckle/Cage - Triangle Button and Directional Button

Climb Down from Turnbuckle/Cage - R1 Button

Stealing Opponent's Finisher - L1 Button + L2 Button

Weapon Finisher - L1 Button (while holding weapon, facing opponent groggy)

Pin Opponent - Down + Circle button

Pick Up/Set Up Ladder - R1 Button

Place Ladder in Turnbuckle - R1 Button + Directional button towards turnbuckle

Reach for Belt - Circle Button (While standing on Ladder)

Pick Up/Set Up Table - R1 Button near table

Advanced Controls

Jump A (Not very high) - Triangle Button + Square Button + Directional Button

Dive over/through ropes - Square button then the X button as you're running towards the ropes.

Look for a Weapon - (Outside of ring, center.) - R1 Button

Remove Turnbuckle Cover - At turnbuckle, face and press R1

Climb Up Turnbuckle/Cage - Triangle Button and Directional Button

Climb Down from Turnbuckle/Cage - R1 Button
