"The Legend Killer" Randy Orton is one of modern day WWE's top stars and has gained his nickname though doing exactly what it says - killing legends. He has a long list of WWE Legends he has defeated, and still to this day, intends to add to that list every day. From St-Louis, Missouri, Randy Orton is the youngest world champion in WWE history, after winning the title from Chris Benoit before splitting with his team-mates, Evolution in dramatic fashion with Triple H, along with Ric Flair and Batista turning on him, eventually causing him to lose the title. Since then, Orton has always been around the main event level, on both Raw and Smackdown, even headlining SmackDown's WrestleMania main-event in 2006 in a triple threat with Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle.
Since his return to RAW in June 2006 he has made his name as one of the WWE's most dominant superstars, culminating by winning the WWE title twice in one night at No Mercy, once by being handed the title by Vince McMahon only to lose it moments later to Triple H, however he would face and defeat Triple H later in the night in a Last Man Standing Match to reclaim the championship. Orton then would defend his title multiple times in the next 4 months before finally losing it Triple H at Backlash 2008 in a Fatal Four Way match. Randy's signature move, the "RKO" has been the dominating move in Randy's career. This takes place when the groggy opponent is struggling to gain balance, Randy prey's on them, jumps up and grabs around the head and slams his opponent down to the canvas. In the 2009 Royal Rumble Orton eliminated Triple H to win the prestigious Royal Rumble.
Orton has developed a recent behavior as of late which shows him as more reckless, cunning and sadistic than ever, emanating cold stares during promos or matches as he preys on his opponents accordingly. He has also developed the filthy habit of punting his rivals, such as Shawn Michaels, Batista, CM Punk, Rob Van Dam and more to the point where they become unconscious and are usually put out of action for considerable time. No matter what chaos he causes in the WWE, there is no doubt he has nowhere to go but up.

WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth
Orton makes his debut in the Smackdown series in Shut Your Mouth, released in 2002. Orton is featured as his lower-midcard self, with his blue and yellow attire and generic entrance/music. As he did not adopt the RKO as his finisher until he switched gears into his "Legend Killer" persona approximately two years later, his finisher(s) are generic (Cross-body).
However, his moveset may be altered, and players have the option to give him Diamond Dallas Page's Diamond Cutter as a great replacement, as the two maneuvers are extremely similar. he has no alternate attires and can be utilized in Season Mode.
WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain
Though Orton was a full-fledged member of Evolution by the time of the games release, Orton still had his generic attire from SYM.

Gamers were surprised that year as his new theme music, Burn in My Light by Mercy Drive, debuted about a month or so before the game came out, and the producers still managed to put it in. Orton's overall took a considerably bump from the previous year due to becoming a top level star rather quickly.

Randy Orton is a very easy superstar to use, and with his main finisher, the ground-based RKO, being an easy to execute, head and chest injuring move, the main chunk of Orton's offense is geared towards injuring those particular body parts. Orton's various ultimate grapples are great ways to gain momentum for the RKO as well as injuring the body parts, also helpful for when the finisher is ready to be used. Focus on wearing your opponent's head and torso to orange/red then begin to take advantage of every opportunity you get to build momentum, then when that's done, and you have a finisher, hit the RKO, or the Super RKO if you wish, although that will take more setting up, and then get the pin. 9 times out of 10, on an orange body and torso, you will get the pin after an RKO, and should one area be red, or both even, then the pin is a certainty.

Orton's cockiness and cunning side doesn't hide from this game as he is given the Dirty and Showman fighting styles. With those, he may trigger the Super Dirty Move - as his dirty style is his primary one - and can taunt on the turnbuckle as well as showboat to the crowd, while bending the rules accordingly from time to time. As for the RKO? Very powerful.

This year, Randy is given the Hunting RKO, where he slithers on the ground, waiting for his opponent to get up before striking with the devastating move. Also, this is the first year where Orton is given the Punt, allowing him to kick his opponents' heads in, for instant blood and important damage to the head. Those finishers make his feared, along with the fact he contains the highest overall in the game.
Orton has the K.O. ability which comes to no surprise - also, being a prominent main-eventer that he is, he contains Resiliency, being able to stay in the game longer than others. It'll take a lot to take Orton out. The Viper is a fanatic of weapons, and he may use them at his arsenal how he would like with the Object ability.
