Ted DiBiase - also known as "The Million Dollar Man" was one of wrestling's greatest heels during the late 80's. He believed everyone and everything had a price, but this theory would later be proved wrong when he tried to buy the WWE Championship from Andre the Giant who had just won it from Hulk Hogan. Andre was willing to hand over the title to DiBiase however the WWE refused to acknowledge DiBiase as Champion and the title was vacated. Once Dibiase accepted the fact that he couldn't buy the WWE Title, he decided to create his own belt know as the Million Dollar Championship, a belt that only had two other holders (besides DiBiase).

During his time with the WWE, DiBiase won the 1988 King of the Ring along with the Tag Team and North American Championships. He was also a 2-time Million Dollar Champion, however this belt was not recognized by the WWE as an official championship.

He is also, unsurprisingly, the father of Ted DiBiase Jr.
