WWE Championship

The WWE Championship, introduced in 1963, is one of the three major titles of the WWE and is currently a part of the RAW brand. Along with it's brothers, the World Heavyweight Championship and the ECW Championship, the WWE title has been moved to different brands on special occasions, mostly due to the WWE Draft.
Current Champion
The WWE Championship is currently held by Randy Orton on the RAW brand. Orton won the title after the 2009 Hell in a Cell PPV. After a "hellacious" match up between Orton and John Cena, that caused buckets of blood to be spilled, Randy gained the upper hand after a vicious Head Punt to Cena, causing him to lose consciousness long enough for Orton to get the 3-count.
